Michael J. Valletta, DPM, Memorial Scholarship Fund
The New York College of Podiatric Medicine has established a student scholarship fund in memory of Dr. Michael J. Valletta, former Dean for Clinical Education at the College, who passed away on February 28th of this year, at the age of 67. Dr. Valletta, a member of the NYCPM Class of 1972, served the College in many capacities before becoming Dean for Clinical Education. Although earlier in life Dr. Valletta was fully ambulatory, he was struck later in life by Multiple Sclerosis, and had to rely on canes, and then a wheelchair.
