Welcome to our Resident webpage

Our program is a comprehensive PMSR-RRA with exposure to all facets of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery. Emphasis of training involves elective forefoot, diabetic limb salvage, wound care, trauma, reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery in a multispecialty academic environment. We offer a unique experience where residents will also function as on-call Surgical residents throughout their training. Another distinctness of our program is that you will be involved in patient care from start to finish. This enables us to produce a well-versed Podiatric physician. Many residents just become surgical technicians and never see the patient after surgery and have no idea how to deal with issues surrounding the patient. Residents rotate through both hospital based and outpatient clinics that affords comprehensive training. Core rotations are in multiple specialties, including Orthopedics, General Surgery, Internal Medicine, and Radiology.

Since we are affiliated with the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, you have access to many faculty who are leaders in their field. This fosters academic stimulation, teaching responsibilities and research opportunities. Weekly academics include journal club and case presentations with hands-on training via saw bone and cadaver workshops throughout the year.

You will find resources to acquaint yourself with the program. We encourage prospective applicants to reach out for more information or schedule a visit!
