MISSION The NYCPM Surgery Club is a student chapter of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS), a professional society founded in 1942. The objectives of the student chapter are in accordance with its parent organization in that it’s goals are to promote the art and science of podiatric surgery, address the issues and concerns of students with regards to podiatric surgery, and advance and improve standards of education and surgical skill. In addition, the members of this organization will be prepared to become future members of the ACFAS that will advance the field of podiatric surgery. In order to accomplish these goals the club hosts a variety of lectures, workshops, journal clubs, research projects and other such relevant events. ©2009 New York College of Podiatric Medicine
