The Student National Podiatric Medical Association (SNPMA) was founded in 1973 by Dr. Lawrence B. Harkless and Dr. Thomas Leecost to promote ethnic equality and diversity among the students of podiatric medicine with support from the National Podiatric Medical Association (NPMA) and the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA). http://www.npmaonline.org/

STUDENT NATIONAL PODIATRIC MEDICAL ASSOCIATION (SNPMA)

Recognizing the challenges faced by minority students, the Student National Podiatric Medical Association (SNPMA) was established to identify and resolve relevant issues. Each College of Podiatric Medicine has its own SNPMA Chapter under the oversight of the National Elected body. Through the existence of SNPMA, a positive environment for professional interaction is developed and mentoring opportunism are cultivated.
